Charter Boat Weapons
I have 10 Rekon 10 Kapstan and honestly I like the Rekons better. Louder drag. Both are solid reels! The Rekon rods are absolutely the best on the market for the money! I love the xtra long butts for my rod holders! Now the Kapstan rods are amazing as well! Heavy duty for large reds and bull drum. You guys are nailing it for the charter boat community! 5star all day
Came missing hardware. Handled with great customer service
My combo unfortunately arrived missing an insert for the guides. But I emailed bentrod and they responded immediately and sent a new pole right away should be arriving tomorrow. Everything seems really well made can’t wait to use it. Customer service is great I would definitely order from bentrod again
Rekon combo
Rod and reel paired with bentrod Braid and it worked amazing this past weekend while catfishing. A must have for any angler needing a do it all combo!
Awesome so far!
First weekend out we came upon a school of slot-sized stripers and I was able to land 7 or 8 in the kayak throwing an 8" paddle tail. Fun times!
Great Saltwater Combo
I've been having it for a few weeks now, the reel smooth as expected the rod is great the handle is extra long, it's a great addition to my saltwater arsenal
bentrod ReKon Saltwater Spinning Fishing Rod and Reel Combo
Packaging is Elite
Contents inside are really well engineered and easy to assemble. Took it out for a trial run yesterday and the lightness of the unit is comparable to a freshwater rod. However it feels sturdy and strong not flimsy. Excited to use it again. Think it's the start of a great relationship.
Seems great
Hooked up into something big on its first trial run off the kelp beds in San Diego. The medium rod and the reel held up great despite exerting as much pressure as I could for 20 minutes. The fish was smart enough to get me snagged in some kelp eventually shaking the hook. Moby Dick got away but the rod and reel seem as good as ever despite my emotional downfall
Rod and reel
Haven't had a chance to try it yet, came packaged well and looks like good quality
ReKon Heavy rod and 5000 series reel
Excellent construction, smooth gearing and action. The drag control was easy to set using the KastKing digital scale and adjust during use. Awesome combo in this price range!
A combo for both Saltwater and Freshwater fishing
I purchased this specific combo to use in ensure saltwater fishing, and also freshwater fishing for mostly stripper, Musky, Northern, and largemouth bass species.
