BenTrod ("we", "us", "our") operates bentrod.us. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

  • Payment information: processed directly by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.

  • Communications: the content of emails, contact-form messages, and warranty claims you send us, including any photos you attach.
  • Marketing preferences: your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter.
  • Reviews: any name, rating, text, or photo you choose to submit with a product review.

  • Device and browser type, operating system, and screen size.
  • IP address and approximate location derived from it.
  • Pages viewed, products browsed, referring site, and time spent.
  • Cookie and similar identifiers — see section 5.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To process, fulfil, and deliver your orders, including passing your address to carriers.
  • To send order confirmations, shipping notifications, and service messages.
  • To respond to your questions, returns, and warranty claims.
  • To send marketing emails, where you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To detect and prevent fraudulent transactions and abuse.
  • To understand how the store is used so we can improve it.
  • To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with parties who need it to run the store:

  • Shopify, which hosts our online store and processes orders.
  • Payment processors, to authorise and settle payments.
  • Shipping carriers and fulfilment partners, to deliver your order.
  • Email and analytics providers, to send messages you've asked for and to measure site usage.
  • Review platforms, where you submit a review.
  • Law enforcement or regulators, where we're legally required to, or to protect our rights.

4. Payment Security

Payments are handled by PCI-DSS compliant providers. Card details are transmitted directly to the processor over an encrypted connection and are not stored on our servers.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, and understand how the store is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the store — the cart and checkout in particular — may stop working correctly if you do.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
  • Ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent to marketing at any time.

7. Texas and Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of Texas, California, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have the right to know what personal information is collected about them, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, email info@bentrod.us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

8. Children's Privacy

Our store is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Data Retention

We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or the law. The revised version takes effect when posted, and the "Last Updated" date above will change.
