Nice, strong and compact reel
I bought a 6000 for fishing bonitos and mahi mahi and works great for fish up to 15 kg. Please make an 8000 version to try it with bigger fish.
Purchased 2 -#6000 reels for catfishing
Purchased 2 -#6000 reels for catfishing. Only have one complaint. Reels work pretty good except that the handle knob is looose as hell. So the one reel is useless to me. Tried E-mailing Kastking ‘s no response yet.I looked at the other reel and handle knob is just starting to loosen. I’m not to happy!!!. Just to let people know that the catfish range from 10-40 lbs. Should be able to handle it. Thank You.

MORE than Awesome for the $!
Went catfishing for the first time and I was able to reel in this nice size channel cat effortlessly! Felt like butter baby! If you are balling on a budget, get this reel! You won’t regret it. (Also got the braided line from Kastking too.)
6000 Megatron is a d*mn good reel
Caught a 60lb blue out of the Mississippi with it on an uglystik, 65lb braid.

Have two 5000's and one 6000. Caught my first paddlefish with 6000. Use 5000 for catfish. Smoothest reels and well built.
Great SoCal Surf Fishing Reel
I purchased the Megatron 2000 specifically for jigging 1/4 oz lead head swim baits on light line (15 lb braid & 10 lb Fluorocarbon leaders) in the SoCal surf. The slow retrieve rate (21 in per turn) is ideal for this because it slows down my retrieve in the churned up surf where the visibility for predator fish (halibut) is limited — it gives me more time for a halibut to see my lure. The reel works great for this as evidenced by the 24 in Halibut and 20 in Corbina landed during my first outing with the reel. The reel performed well; smooth with an easy bail release and an excellent drag that provides a wide range of settings from very light to very firm. I’d highly recommend this reel being used with a medium action, fast tipped 8 to 9 ft rod for fishing the edges of rocks, sandy areas, and surf lines at the beach.
Channel Cats
I purchased the Megatron 6000 a few months ago an I am very pleased with it. It is mounted on a Penn Squadron 3 rod and loaded at the moment with 15 pound mono. I have landed several catfish with this setup and so far the Megatron has not even flinched. I would definitely recommend this reel to anyone going after bigger, harder fighting fish.
Megatron 6000 reel
This reel is amazing. It’s smooth and the drag clicker is super loud. The power it puts out is outstanding and when you compare it to other reels that have the same strength you can save a whole lot of money by going with the megatron. The reel doesn’t wobble under stress and if you tighten the drag you’ll boss around any fish. I had the pleasure of of testing this reel out spooked with 65 lb braid on a berkley 8 ft rod against two bull reds ( a 40 in and 36in) and it held up nice . Quality 5 out 5 For the price that you can get this reel and the quality you receive it’s a steal.

Its a really good reel, better then what i was expecting! I pull two big red drums with a 4000, with 30lb line.
Caught these two Kings first time using my new 4000 Megatron , they didn’t stand a chance! With 33 lbs of drag I had total control.. Awesome reel at a great price
It has a smooth real, its backstop is very sudden, haven't caught a fish with it yet but I did take it on the Arkansas river, fish just weren't biting. Overall I like the reel I plan on catching some fish with this thing.
