Great reel
Great saltwater reel depend on size you buy for the fish you’re going for it will handle the job I switched all my gear to Kastking the prices are great good products and great customer service they stand buy there stuff
Just got 2 Kapstan SE 3000 to use for saltwater pier fishing. Me and my brother used them for 4 days and nights on the pier bottom fishing and jig fishing. They worked flawlessly! They didn’t feel smooth out of the box, but were super smooth after a days use. I think because of the seals. I’ll be buying more bentrod reels!

This reels saltwater work really good. I love kastking
Love the blue color of my reel. The reel seems to be very well made. I have mainly used this reel for saltwater fishing, and It has preformed wonderful!
Best reel you could ever get under $100. Solid drag super smooth. I have 3 of these now on my charter boat and they get used daily and zero failures.
I'm in love with my new setup!
Let me start with Great customer service! Guys this company is standing for many years and providing good customer support. It is my 4 reel. I have casting, trolling, large surfe spinning and now new 2500 size reel. Color are matching my Bentrod Rod and I choose black braid 250 feet. Not sure about first models of Bentrod but I have no regrets buying additional items from them. I went to fishing show - I can confirm that bentrod ReKon is in range with Penn, Daiwa and Shimano by quality. However you get same quality for more affordable prices. I ready for fishing season. With Sufr and Lake setups. Thank you bentrod for making good and affordable products.
Great quality Reel - it catches fish.
Just received this reel for an upcoming trip to cabo to do some surf fishing. I have other bentrod products like knives, fishing rods, and tackle gear and have been very happy with those. This reel quality feels on par with some of the other brands. Looking forward to catching some dorado and rooster fish from the shores of cabo san lucas.Update: Just got back from cabo where i spent 4 days fishing with this reel. The surf fishing was tough because the swell was really big and the waves were huge so the fish were not in close enough. The reel performed flawlessly. we went out on a boat one day, and caught 10 sierra with this reel. the guide let me use my own gear and were impressed at the performance. they kept asking where i got it, how much etc. They really liked the setup and even asked to fish with the rod/reel to catch some on their own to try it out.
Great Reels
I took my friends fishing after buying these 3000 series reels and they locked them. Got on big Gags, Amberjack and some nice Hogs.
Monster Muncher
This reel is just as good as the Kapstan Elite!! I can fit 300 yards of 80 ib line on this bad boy at least. Reels smooth as a champ! This thing smacks for the price! You might even be able to reel in a whale!
Great stuff
I can use it when I go to fishing, great design and great quality and material, great product and reasonable price.
Great color and quality parts make it very smooth.
Great waterproof reel for saltwater fishing. It has a manual bail that I prefer over the automatics that can have problems over time. I was able to set it up left handed a convenient feature for lefties. It has a nice over sized knob on the power handle making it easy to grab and more comfortable in your hand.
